Here is something you need to be aware of I just received this today

I just took the Networking Essentials exam about 2 hours ago, and had the strangest experience I've ever had in testing before. I was expecting a 50-55 question exam in 90 mins. Instead I got an exam that was to be, according to the info at the beginning, an adaptive exam with somewhere between 24-35 questions in the same amount of time as before.   According to the info on that same screen, I could NOT skip a question, I HAD to answer it. I also could NOT go back and change an answer, as that would affect the questions I was to get later. Basically, the better you answer the question, the harder the next questions gets. Fail it, and the next one is either the same difficulty or easier.

There were questions I hadn't even seen info on in the Sybex book series I'm using. I knew the answer to one of the off the wall questions, only because I was taking to an associate here at work, who has his MCSE, and we discussed ways to hook hubs together so that the systems attached to the hubs can actually communicate with each other. The most unnerving issue with the test was it's shortness. I was thinking "What? That's all the questions?!?" Plus, Sylvan knew it went in to affect today, and didn't tell me when I registered for the test. I had to call the testing center back, thinking there might be a section I was to take but didn't know about. The answer was no, I took the correct test.  I passed by 70 points, but the experience left me sort of like I had a hollow victory. I suppose this is Microsoft's answer to stopping the "Paper MCSE's." I even called MS's MCP 800 number and was told that ALL the exams are going to be adaptive. Wonder what the TCP/IP and Server Enterprise will be like?

Just thought I'd warn you all.
