I took the Network essentials exam today and passed.....Thank god for this site!!!!!!
I would like to thank everybody here for you help. The new adaptive style isn't to bad I only had 25 questions and it was done. A good number of questions were on these site. Be sure to take a good look at Peters dump. The one peice of advice that I could give is that you should take a real good long look at WINS,NDS,DHCP. In fact if possible read the sections on this in the WinNT and Server books. I found the info that was in the Net Ess. books not enough, the questions in the exam were more detailed then what was disscussed in the Net. Ess. books.
The one questions that I had that was a real pain was:

You have a network that is using tcp/ip and it does not have Wins enabled. NDS is enabled the domain is called company.com Your computer is called computer1 and the computer you are trying to access is called computer2 and has the IP 206.248.16.16. You try to access a resource on computer2 which is on a different subnet what from the below would be a true statement:

a> net use n: \\206.428.16.16/sharename
b> net use n: \\computer2/sharename
(The questiosn is very close to this but not exact, the point is study WINS,NDS,DHCP!!!!!)
I'm sorry I don't remember more, but your brain feels like it is going to expload when you write one of these things and I'm very lucky to remember my own name.
Just remember DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE UNKNOWN....IT'S NOT GOING TO BITE YOU......
