I got a 697. Not the greatest but I passed. I reccomend the Coaches page- I got almost all of the questions he listed- exactly! This site really helped. I feel obligated to contribute. This is what I had toknow for the test I took.

Know SLIP - static addressing, supports only 1 protocol

PPP - supports dynamic addressing, multiple protocols

This was good for 2 of the 25 I had.

What connection service supports realiable delivery over unreliable lines?

1) x.25 *

2) ATM

3) Frame Relay

4) ISDN

I am not sure x.25 was it but that's what I went with.

Which protocols could be responsible for broadcast storms, choose 3?

1) ARP *

2) RIP *

3) SAP *

4) UDP

5) TCP

6) ATM

7) SPX

8) IPX

I chose the top 3 but again- not sure.

Only 2 questions were diagrams and Coach's site has 'em.

NT clients - running Netbui and TCP/IP need to connect to another network but want to run both protocols. What device to connect the two networks?

1) gateway

2) bridge*

3) router

4) hub

Clients running Nwlink need to connect to Mainframe running TCP/IP. What device use?

1) gateway*

2) router

3) brouter

4) bridge

I know that you have probably seen these on others pages, but they are really there on the test!
