Subject: 70-058

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for the braindumps. They were extremely valuable. This was my first try and I did pass. I was lucky. I did study quite a bit. I read the MS Book and several others. My weakest points involved Troubleshooting and WAN links. Half of the test was very very easy, but then a blue screen came up and said that you were coming into the multiple question and multiple answer section. Most of the easy ones I had already seen on here but I will include a few below I have not seen. The questions were so lengthy that I can only remember enough to let you look up things about then to just learn as much as possible on those subjects.

Here goes.

1. Three large cities interconnected by 28.8 modems, in a triagle. Eight modems on each segment. Will you be able to keep a 1Mbps connection if one goes down?

2. Again, three large cities connected this time with 2-T1's and also with 2-9600 modems. This time the connection is not in a triangle but just a V outline. Is this fault tolerant if one of the T1's go down?

3. Netbios naming having to do with duplicates involving group names, domain name, share names.

4. Fault tolerant senarios.

5. Raid 0 and a Raid 5.

6. What testing device would you use to test a router, bridge and a repeater? Protocal Analyzer or SMTP?

7. Gimmes with Repeater, Gateway, Router, and Bridges but watch netbui with a Brouter and if you turn off the bridge is the router still on?

8. Speeding up a network involving different topologies, frames, packets sizes and using Netbui and Appletalk with a mixed system including Mac, NT and Unix?

9. Strange diagram with a long 95 meter RG-58 A/U bus then in the middle of the bus had a T-Connector that split off to 25 meters the server. All ends had terminators. One end had a ground. The network is not functioning correctly or is very slow. What would you do? Pick one, take off one of the terminators, or change the length to accommodate the type of wiring?

10. Troubleshooting was very difficult. It did seem that most of the answers were Protocal Analyzer.

11. No wireless questions.

12. Typical 802.3 questions. Know those. I am really sorry but that is all I can remember. It seems that I didn't have time to dwell on any of them long enough to remember them. It was extremely mind consuming. Just Relax Relax Relax. If you look at it long enough it will come to you.

Good luck everyone. LC
