Net Ess
70-058

Don't freak out(like I did when I first heard about 3 hours before taking the test) at the change of Test to adaptible.  I did see most of the questions that are on the Brain dumps and that was real helpful.  I used the net essentials from MS PRess and the brain dumps and scored a 659.  The new minimum is 552.

Question that caught me by surprise.

2 protocols used in conectionless network
TCP
IPX
SPX
DLC
UDP

I had 5 word problems: The 3 Wan connections with only 2 t1's.

Some things to look at before taking the test.  Know ATM, NETBios naming Schemes
Router, Bridges, FDDI, and protocol analizers.

Nothing on IRQ's conflicting.

Setting up NT servers w/win95 machines.

A cool question that had you dragging and dropping hardware for 4 different network Schemes like gateway for ethernet tokenring connection and routers for rings, ect...

I was able to judge if i was doing good by how hard the question was and did notice when they got easier.  I know that adaptible tests are more trickier and make you have to study more and learn more, but it will make MCSE certification more valuable.  As for the test questions you can stick to Brain Dumps to get an understanding what's going to be on your test.

Thanks to all that has the memory to put entries and extreme thanks to the Web Master that took over this site.  I'm off to Server now.  I have Net ESS and Win95 done.
