Subject: 70-058

Hello. Just took the Net Essentials. Thanks so much for the help. I passed 827/1000 fist time. I studied for 1 week. I used the Exam Cram book by certification insider and this site. I studied a LOT (8 hrs a day for the whole week)This is what I can say:

1.) You are installing a 100Mbps network in a one story building with a 1' space above the suspended ceiling(or something like that). What kind of cable should you use:

 A. STP

 B. Coax

 C. Fiber Optic

 D. UTP

2.) The Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas questions seen earlier on this site. Dont forget to look at them because I had BOTH of them.

3.) A lot of questions on where to use a Bridge, Repeater, Gateway, or Router.

4.) Know your IRQ's. I had two with IRQ conflicts. One was with a COM port and the other was with a Floppy drive.

5.) A couple of diagrams where you have to pick out what is wrong with the layout. One was grounded too many times and the other had too many terminations.

6.) One of those Sally's computer NO LONGER will connnect to the network. You better choose bad cable.. Come on give me a break, you are not dealing with a chimpanzee here.

7.) Which WAN tech. offers bandwith on demand? (Frame Relay)

8.) Another WAN tech. question where it mentioned you wanted to ensure the data was sent reliably or something that lead me to belive that they wanted X.25 for the error checking.

9.) One where the answer was disk stripping with parity.

I think I saw something similar to every question on the test here at the Brain Dump.. Thank you so much Brain Dump.
