Hi everyone!
Took 70-058, Networking Essentials, today, and I passed. (552 minimum score to pass) I wanted to post to this site to show my gratitude for all those who have submitted previous braindumps.
The questions were pretty standard, but here are two you may want to watch out for:
You have a Windows NT Server and you want to implement disk striping with parity. You want to provide at least 10 MB (yes, that's MB as in megabytes) of disk space. How many 4 GB (That's GB as in gigabytes) disks will you need to implement this?
A. 1
B. 2
C. 3
D. 4
(I chose C because you need at least 3 disks to implement disk striping with parity. I think what they were trying to do here is to make you think they meant 10 GB not 10 MB. You would need at least four 4GB drives to provide 10 GB using disk striping with parity. Gotta watch out for those Microsoft tricksters!)
Another question. I found this one to be particularly brutal.
You have four Windows NT servers that are connected directly to the Internet.
You want to administer these four servers from the Windows NT server in your office that is connected directly to the Internet.
You want to use Server Manager and User Manager for the administration of these four machines. (I believe the final part of the question was: How would you resolve the names of these four servers?)
A: DNS on the Internet
B. WINS on your office server
C. DHCP on the Internet
D. LMHOSTS file on your office server.
(I think I chose B.)
Anyway, good luck to all! I have two more to go!
