Subject: The Net Essentials Exam 70-058

 I just finished taking my test about 2 hours ago. What a rush I passed with a 931 YES!!! Thanks to all those people who put their brain dumps here for us this was one of the best study tools. Ok hang on here goes:

1. Hit the Microsoft test area for this test, they are different than the transcenders

2. Hit the Transcender for net essentials

3. Read all you can books and braindumps

4. Some of the brain dumps say that protocal analyzer is the only question for trouble shooting, it is NOT. I nailed 100 on this area. The question was what would you use to gather info on a problem over time. NOT a protocol analyzer!!Know what it is.

5. Know that repeater works on the physical layer of the OSI

6. Bridge work on the Data link layer

7. Routers work on the network layer

8. Gateways work on the application layer for the test, all though they can work on all 7 layers.

9. Know your cables and their limitations!!!!!!!!

10. ATM is what can offer service at 100mbps or faster (155 and higher)

11. Frame Relay offers bandwidth on demand.

12. Read all of the meets req'd questions very closely, START these by reading the solution first and the req'd and then optional without reading the scenario, these can get you confused if you read them first.

13. A few questions about the IRQ's

14. No wireless questions.

15. Don't let the BLUE SCREEN freak you out, they are really no big deal.
