You get this question twice. The second time the proposed solution is:
Assign each workstation a unique 15-character number with the first 8 characters designating the dept.the next 5 designating the bldg. and the last two the initials of the person who uses the machine.

Answer: Satisfies both required and optional

3.) You notice from Network Monitor a stream of useless and repeated information coming from a physical address (NIC). what device do I use to determine if the NIC is faulty?

I remember also getting a couple of scenarios on the three-way link between Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York. One was actually only between Atlanta-New York, and Atlanta-L.A. The optionals were: if one were to go down, I need redundancy, which separated one scenario from the other.

I must have only gotten these right, since I barely passed, but, hey-- I passed!
