**WARNING**
You cannot be certain that answers supplied in braindumps are correct even for people that have got a high pass mark, some of the answers they supplied may be incorrect. Ive supplied the following answers because I got 100% in the sections on Standards and Terminology, and Planning. Ive not supplied answers to questions that are repeated several times in the braindumps and appear to be correct.
Q1. Which WAN link can provide transmissions at any available speed?
I was never sure of the answer here as it was a choice between FR or ATM. The answer is (d).
Q2. There are a couple of servers in a wiring closet of a building with a 1 meter overhead ceiling. Which type of cable should you use for the network if you have to support 1Mbps speeds and keep cost to a minimum.
Theres a lot of rubbish in the braindumps about coax being the only cable to meet fire regulations etc. and what other things could be in the 1 meter overhead. The clue is "minimum cost". Microsoft always advise to consider UTP cable first and UTP is also the cheapest cable. Answer is (d).
Q3. You have 75 Windows 95 and WFW 3.11 machines. Choose an appropriate security model.
Again, a couple of wrong answers supplied in braindumps. The answer is (a) (even though there is no mention of a server available on the network).
Q4. What protocol would you use for a network with Win95 clients and
MS-DOS PCs running the Netware re-director for DOS.
This one threw me a bit because I thought that (d) might be used but of course the answer is (b).
Q5. Which dial-up protocol provides compression (choose all correct).
This question is a multiple choice question with only two possible choices. Do not be tempted to click both because it is a multiple choice question. The answer is (b).
Q6. You want to establish terminal emulation connections from client PCs to an IBM mainframe without any major changes to the clients. What do you use?
Answer is (b).
Q7. What is a high-level protocol that uses NetBIOS.
Youll recognise this question by the large number of possible answers and luckily it is not a multiple choice question. The answer is (g).
Q8. Which type of server provides power to run programs for client computers.
Again, this is a multiple choice question with only two possible choices provided. Answer is (b) only.
Q9. You want to monitor hubs, bridges and routers on a network. What should you include as part of your administrative configuration.
Answer is (d).
Q10. Where can you NOT have duplicates for the following in NetBIOS.
Answer is (a), (b) and (d).
Q11. Your company is implementing a WAN. You want to connect three locations in Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles.
Required results.
They need to have communication of at least 1Mbps at all times.
Desired optional results.
They need to have communication of at least 1Mpbs if one of the
WAN links fails.
They need to have communication if one of the WAN links fails.
Proposed solution.
Connect a T1 line between NY and Los Angeles and Los Angeles and Atlanta. Connect 9600 Kbps lines between NY and Los Angeles and Los Angeles and Atlanta.
Usual 4 possible answers asked. The answer is "Meets required result but only one of the optional desired results".
Q12. What is a characteristic of assured delivery.
Answer is (a).
Q13. Which operating systems support share-level access.
Answer is (a) and (b).
Q14. What is the name of the unique identifier encoded in the NIC.
Answer is (a).
Q15. A company has 120 computers with Windows 95 and Windows for Workgroups and has a problem with employee turnover. What do you implement?
Answer (a).
Q16. What is a characteristic of the IEEE 802.3 10Base2 specification.
Answer (c).
Q17. What is a characteristic of IEEE 802.3 10BaseT.
Answer (c).
Q18. You have an office in which you want to install 7 computers. The lease will not allow you to install cables in walls. What topology do you implement.
Answer (b).
Q19. What WAN service can provide reliable connection over unreliable switched circuits.
Answer is (b).
To anyone that has read this, remember to please submit you own braindump after you have completed the exam. Do it straight after the exam if you can. Its surprising how much detail youll forget if you leave it for a couple of days.
