Just pass Networking Essentials today with 948. Thanks to Brainsdump.

Here’s my solution:

I didn’t buy any Networking Essentials book. No Transcenders. Nothing.

I just get information from the net. First I found Nicholas Chung’s NE

cram notes page then link to brainsdump. I almost went to every

braindumpers’ page.

For those who wanted to take the NE exam, my advice is go through all

the pages, print out those above 900. If u have doubt for the answer,

do check from the book (if you have). It’s really help from there. I

have seen almost 95% questions from Brainsdump in my exam.

I not going to repeat what other braindumpers’ posted. The below are

the topics which I think is very important for NE:

Know 802.3, especially 10BaseT and 10Base2 characteristic.

Know protocol analyzer and other debugging tools.

Know ATM

Know OSI layers and which equipment falls on it

Know disk striping and other issues regarding the Server planning –

virus scan, tape backup, UPS, etc…

For those scenarios question, Microsoft always put them in the front.

Mark those question and come back on them when you are finish the

remain questions.

I’m on TCP/IP now.
