----------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings from Yue!
Ever since the first time I set my foot on this land, I've been
wondering when it's my turn to make a contribution.
Now, the time comes!
Just passed the test this morning, scored 779/1000 on 25 questions. The
score is definitely not perfect, but I have
no complaints--without this site, I doubt it if I could pass at this my
very first try! (only spent 3 weeks self-study,
no money to go to class) :-(
The following is a collection of what appeared on my test but not seen
from previous braindumps.
======================================================================
1) You are using network monitor to analyze network activities at
packet level. One packet is captured, and you
wanna know the MAC (hardware) address of the computer which sent out
this packet.
Which of the following packet can give you the information you
need?
a) frame
b) ethernet
c) ip
d) udp
=====================================================================
2) You have 8 computers in your network, and you wanna implement a
token ring topology. Which of the
following statement correctly describes the implementation?
a) star physical topology
star logical topology
b) ring physical topology
ring logical topology
a) star physical topology
ring logical topology
a) ring physical topology
star logical topology
======================================================================
3) You have one computer, and it is running only one OS--Windows NT
Server. It's using the DECnet
processor (?). Two partitions on hard disk, one is active, the other is
not. In order to maximize security, which of
the following should you implement on the patitions?
a) Both use FAT
b) Both use NTFS
c) Active one uses FAT
The other uses NTFS
d) Active one uses NTFS
The other uses FAT
(No idea abou this one at all, check it out yourself. )
======================================================================
4) Your network includes computers running Windows NT Workstation,
Windows 95, and UNIX. They all use
TCP/IP to communicate. In addition, between NT & 95 computers, NetBEUI
is also used.
You observed great traffic over the network and the net is very
slow. You suspect that your network may
suffered from broadcast storm, so what would be a possible cause of it?
a) traffic from NetBEUI protocol computers
b) traffic from UNIX computers
c) wrong subnet mask
d) using TCP/IP and NetBEUI in the same subnet
======================================================================
5) Drag and drop--You wanna implement a client/server network, and
install both client and server computers.
Assign proper role to each of four computers with different settings.
roles: Computers:
file server Win 95 (486, 16MB RAM)
print server Win 95 (Pentium 120, 32MB RAM)
application server Win NT (Pentium 120, 128 MB RAM)
client Win NT (Dual Pentium processor 200, 65 MB RAM)

Other questions all either copy or similar to previous braindumps you
can find in this site.
