Subject: Networking Essentials...Passed

I passed today with an 879. This was my second shot at it. Monday I got a 741.

Just wanted to say that before I tested today, I went over at least half of all the braindumps from this site. I was extremely helpful. Many things stood out in my mind form these pages and I took the exam this morning.

I would like thank all who took the time to post their questions and comments here. The braindumps, Transcender exams and the Networking Essentials Self Study Guide were a good combination... I now have a better understanding not just memorized info to past the test.

10 scenario questions: required results, optional results (some with 3 optionals). They were tuff, but reading through them carefully and knowing topologies, cabling, WANS, LAN components and Ethernet topology should prepare you for them.

1 OSI model question

What componet operates at or above the Tranport layer? (gateway)

1 IRQ question. Know your IRQ's!!

1 ISDN question.

What will replace anolog telephone line?

2-3 on ATM...

3 questions about testing tools

All three required protocol analyzer as answer..

1 PPP SLIP Choose which are dial-up protocols. Choose 2..

Only PPP and SLIP were the choices..

3 questions on NDIS and ODI

All the same stuff, just worded differently.

1 Results of {Performance Monitors..

CPU %, PAge FAults, % Disk Time

Wrong Frame Type!

2 questions on IEEE specs for 802.3

one for RJ-45 connector

one for cable type UTP

1 NETBIOS naming convention for shares computer name and share name

No NT specific questions

That's all my brain can dump now. Just glad I got through it and can relax a bit before I tackle the next exam on NT.

Study and hands on as much as possible. Good Luck...
