>From Zia - Australia [15th Aug 98]
Hi LearnQuick.Com and Friends,
This site is undoubtedly the best and I want my contents to stay on this
site. Copy cats and cheats, pls stay out. Just passed
my NetEss Exam, 15th Aug 98 with a score of 913 and I could not have done it
without this site. Thanks to all the dedicated
people who post here and please keep them coming.
Overall the exam was easy, this was my 4th exam. I used Exam Cram [good],
Transcenders, MS Press Guide and this site
which is the best source of preparation. We need the books to get the
"stuff" inside our heads first so we understand the
concept how it all works and then get the practice on the psychology of the
questions we may get at the exam and this heaven
is a must for that practice.
About 10 Scenario questions and I did them in the end.
Here are some question which I remember.
1. Had a question on WINS/DHCP/DNS. If a Client is not able to ping or use
netbios name on a TCP/IP subnet, which do
you check "first".
I chose to check DHCP to see frist to see if the DHCP server is leasing the
IP info correctly with all other server's info.
2. Had the 16 port x 28.8 question, I didn't even read the question in full
on this one, I knew the answer was "does not meet
required".
3. I still don't know the correct answer for this one. Which netbios names
cannot be duplicated, I chose
workgroup/computername/sharename [left domain name unchecked]. I definetly
don;t agree with this answer but 4 out of 5
people told me that we have chose this since according to MS, this the
correct answer.
4. 1 Ground question and 1 ternimator question.
5. Had the Token Ring Packet is large than Ethernet packet size question.
6. About 6 question which needed Protocol Anal as answers and these question
appeared one after another.
7. Mary's comp does not work today, it worked yesterday, - loose cable was
the best choice
8. Irq conflict question - COM2 is the answer.
That's all I could remeber. I wrote down about 4 tables before I started so
during the exam I just refered to them and I had the
answers in front.
Remember, Gateways do not reduce traffic. Bridges do not do filtering
[routers do]. Repeaters don't do broadcasts or
protocol conversions.
4 dow two to go. TCP/IP next. thanks again and please keep these dumps
coming...Zia
