I took the TCP/IP (70-059) test yesterday and was quite happy that I had a green bar out past the Red bar at the end of the test. Got asked 25 questions, all of which were generally described by other posts here.

However, one question that I was not prepared for, nor could I find any way of getting it correct.

The only Drag and Drop question was structured:

[___Valid ___] [Placeholder]34

[__Invalid___] [Placeholder]2

[PlaceHolder]0

[Placeholder]255

[Placeholder]4

Now if you can see this -- the Place holder was directly over the top of the IP numbers that you were to determine if they were valid or not. -- Well, folks, it was rather hard to determine if they were valid or not because I could not "SEE" the entire IP number.

This is one that if you get this question, and cannot see the IP numbers, -- a WSID (Wild stab in Dark) is about your only choice.

Chalk this up to ONE missed and move on. I believe it is because the Screen size was too small to correctly place the images, but -- Microsoft -- after charging $100 per test, should make this type of question "FIT ANY POSSIBLE SCREEN SIZE!".

Try and get a screen at least 17" if you can from the test center. Mine was 14"...

Another question delt with setting up a wide area in different cities, and each site wants to have the ability to browse all shared resources by either UNC or thur the NET USE command. The NETBIOS names........ on and on.......

Required: Make sure that each station can browse all networks...

A couple of Optionals...

Proposed Action....

1. DNS something

2. Something Something DNS

3. Something DNS..and Host files

4. Something Something DNS

--- Now we are not talking about DNS when we are referring to NETBIOS or WINS stuff...So I marked "DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS"

Good Luck...(5 down - One to go)

And So It Goes...
