Test Name: TCP/IP for WinNT Server 4

Test #: 70-059

Hi, all:

I took the TCP/IP for WinNT Server 4  this afternoon at 1:00pm, and it cost me 45 minutes. I got 25 questions and passed with 808. Most of the questions are from BrainDump, however, I do have some new ones. Here is three of them I can remember.

1. It is a exhibit question. There is a network consisting of three subnets. A PDC and a WinNT WS at subnet A, a BDC which is a WINS server at subnet B, two   Win95 at subnet C. There is a router in the network which separates the three subnets. Then how can you configure the Win95 to logon to the PDC?

    a) In the PDC, put a LMHOSTS file
    b) In the BDC, put a LMHOSTS file
    c) Configure the Win95 to be WINS client
    d) Bogus one

    I chose C).

2. It is also a exhibit question. There is a network named xxx.com consisting only one subnet A. There is WS1 and DNS server in one side of the router. On the other side, there is a server Market. You run the command ftp Market.xxx.com, but failed, why? (Choose three)

    a) WS1 is not configured with the IP address of DNS server
    b) WS1 is not configured with the IP address of WINS server
    c) Market is not configured with the IP address of DNS server
    d) Market is not configured with the IP address of WINS server
    e) There is no entry of Market in the HOSTS of WS1
    f)  There is no entry of Market in the LMHOSTS of WS1
    g)  There is no entry of Market in the DNS server
    h)  There is no entry of Market in the WINS server

    I chose a) e) g).

3. There is a server/client application. You run the application from the client, but the server is not responding, how to solve it?

    a) Performance Monitor
    b) Network Monitor
    c) Netstat
    d) Bogus
    e) snmputil

I chose b). BTW, this is my last question.

Also, I want to say something about the exam. I have no Subnetting question. I do think the more subnetting questions you had, the lower marks you got.

Five done, one more to go. See you on SQL server.
