Just took 70-059 TCP/IP and passed with a 717. The test scared the hell out of me. One time, I meant to use the calculator and my scatterbrained self hit the next button, but luckily this generated an error saying "you must answer this question first "(whew!). The dumps were good. Read em. Here's one that was WRONG.

Question is a drag and drop saying UNIX hosts have static IPs 172.16.8.29 to 172.16.8.41. Configure DHCP Server to assign all other addresses by DHCP. Subnet Mask is 255.255.248.0.

Of course, exclude the UNIX addys, but the whole scope should NOT be 172.16.8.1 to 172.16.8.254, It shoud be 172.16.8.1 to 172.16.15.254. Stare at that until you understand it. Think about those 1s and 0s, those subnet masks are so cool.

I also had this weird one where required result was to provide NetBIOS resolution to everyone, but the solution was to put in DNS. Although it clearly didn't meet the optionals, I said it met the required to provide NetBIOS resolution, I mean, DNS is the last step in NetBIOS resolution, right??????? Check on this, it's not a preferable solution, but it will work, won't it?????
