Test Name: Microsoft TCP/IP on Windows NT 4.0
Test # 70-059
Took Adaptive test on Saturday. Found out Friday that the test was adaptive
from this site. This caused me much stress and some sleep about the test
from reading the posts here and other places.
Passing score is 570 and I scored 815. On the previous four test I averaged
about 830, so the adaptive score was only slightly lower that what I would
have expected on a "normal" test.
BOTTOM LINE: If you know the material and are not just memorizing
Transc***er answers you should not notice much difference in the test. Out
of the 25 questions I got only about 4 were direct ?'s from transc***er.
4-5 single choice, 3-4 simulation, 4-5 Choose 2 type ?'s, and remainder
were scenario based / exhibit type. I finished with around 25 minutes left.
Don't try to guess how you are doing on the test by the next question you
receive. Remember that MS has weighted the difficulty of the questions and
what they thing and you and I think are probably different. Read question
at least twice mark your best answer(s) and move on.....
Topics:
Static routing - given exhibit [(Subnet A - router - Sub B )IP/Sub/gateway
shown for all)] what 2 changes would you make so Station x on a Sub A can
communicate. 6 choices, I stared at this for 10 minutes and am not sure of
answer so review.
Many DNS WINS DHCP ?'s Integration of wins Proxy & DHCP Relay
multiple subnets
SNMP & Agent which originates Set, trap, get next, ___ (Drag and drop on
exhibit)
No specific subnetting or supernet ?'s
Unix - RCP command
DNS Mail - MX
Recommend:
I used Syngress/osbourne - I think the background book used is immaterial.
