I just passed the TCP/IP test today

Thanks to this site and Transender and most of all, I prayed and God help me out allot.

on to what I can remember, not exact but as close as I could remember. one that threw me a little was

1. You have seven subnets you have DHCP server setup you switch computers around allot to different subnets, you want to be able to get IP addresses from any subnet you are attached with your clients computer.

a.set up global "somthing"

b.set a IP scope

c.set up local "somthing"

d.set up client "somthing"

I pick a but check it out, it seemed like they where trying to trick you into picking client by the last phrase in the question plus it didn't say global, local or client scope which I was expecting it to.

2.There was a diagram of three subnets and it gave you all the detail in it and you had to pick why it wasn't working.

* the default gateway was wrong for Marketing

3.there was on with a ipconfig\all out put and a list of five IP addresses and you had to choose two that where valid. I cant remember the most of the right numbers.

a.---.---.---.0 somthing like that

b.---.---.256.---

c.---.127.---.---

d.---.---.---.254 *

e.*

I picked the last two, sorry I cant remeber use the calculator later if you cant spot it right away.

4.you have set up everything on your server what else do you need to set.

* last answer node resolution

5.you want to get files that are on a UNIX machine what can you use (chose Two)

a.TFTP.EXE *

b.rexec.exe

c.ftp.exe*

d.rsh.exe

e.telenet.exe

the sam as others on the dump they just have .exe at the end dont let confuse you haha

6.what do you use on DNS server for mail

*MX

7.workstation on subnet a can not connect to a computer by its name on b but can ping the IP address.

a.defualt gateway is wrong

b.the subnet mask is wrong

c. the DNS "something"

d.the computer is not se up to run WINS*

8.there was a diagram with three subnets UNIX on A, B was in the middle you just installed a new server on C and C has the DHCP server and a WINS on it there are routers between the subnets that dont forward DHCP and you have to click and drag and drop what you would put where.   I put the WINS proxy on A and I put DHCP relay agent on C

9.there was one about you keep dropping packets and you want to check it out what do you use

a.nbstat.exe

b.netsat.exe*

c.ipconfig.exe

d.telenet.exe

network monitor wasn't a option so I picked netstat.exe

Well thetas all I can remember check out there rest one this site this is my first Briandump and I am not as good as some of these guys, hope I help a little at least.

Good Luck and God Bless,
