I took the exam today and passed (872). This site was a great help. So here is my list

1. Excessive paging- what counter

2. Boot sector virus-clean the machine and restart, says on operating system. How do you recover?

3. win 3.11 and win 95 clients on NetWare servers( with clients for netware networs installed). Add NT server with client\server app. How can the cliens access the NT server

4. User has a local profile. How do you set up profile so that whichever NT workstation he logs on to he gets the dame desktop.

5. Ras- 2 modems, users get disconnected. How do you enable device.log to troubleshoot.

6. Question about bindings- remote site use netbios for local net 90% and log on central with tcp/ip 10%. both protocal installed on remote clients, remote servers, central servers. How do you optimize local client's network performance

7. Mirror partition and primary drive fails, choose the arc path that points to the mirrored partition

8. monitoring 5 servers for different counters, performance really slow, how do you improve peformance?

9. stripe set fails, you replace the drive? what is the final step. ( comit changes)

10. two different questions on choosing the method of fault tolerance

11. Dhcp server -what all can you assign with it. choices were - default gateway, subnet mask, ftp server, mail server, wins server

12. couple of questions regarding ARC paths

13. Procedure for Network based installation of NT server on a MS dos PC

14. Jobs not printing, cant be deleted. What do you do?

15. Printer down. How do you redirect the jobs to a remote printer?

16. 95 machine with client based admin tools. How do you share folders

17. same machine, question about printer setting

18. monitor tcp/ip activity on 3 servers fro WS? do you set up 1. SNMP on WS; 2. SNMP on servers, 3&4 were some TCP/Ip counters

19. Question about PPP settings.

20. 3 domain controllers, roaming profiles, PDC goes down- choices 1. use cannot log on;2. log on with default profile; 3. redirected to log on to another server;

21. move file within same NTFS partition, what happens to permissions.

This is all I can remember right now. I will post again when I remember some more.
