Subject: NT Server 4
Just finished the NT Server 4 exam, passed it with a 981. Preparation materials included the MS 803 and 822 classes, Exam Cram, Transcenders and THE most important tool - Brain Dump Heaven.
Here are some of the trickier questions I ran into:
-You need to migrate files and users off a Netware server on to your new NT server. What do you need to install on the NT Server to make resources available to existing clients? (Choose one)
-FTP
-SAP
-GSNW
-NWLink
The question didn't specify what the clients were currently using to access the Netware server; CSNW for MS clients or NWLink for Netware clients. Check this one.

-You are using the NT server tools on a Win95 machine and want to share a CD-ROM on an NT server how do you do this?
-Server Manager
-NT Explorer
-something
-something
I thought the answer would be Server Manager but a co-worker thought it would be Explorer. Check on this.

- You a scenario where you have three NT Servers Research1, Server2 and Server3. Users in the Research dept. regularly send 100 MB or larger files to their server, Research1, and this causes all network traffic to slow. What the best solution?
-Add a second NIC to the server, configure IP forwarding and connect all the Research clients to a second physical subnet that connects to the second NIC in the server.
-Add a second IP address to the server and configure the clients to connect to it.
