Thanks for hosting a great site - I couldn't have made it without the Braindump Heaven I have written 2 exams so far, Workstation and Server.
Got 901 for Workstation and 909 for Server

I have just finished my server exam, and have some comments:

I marked 15 questions during the exam, of which I got 5 wrong.

Here are the 15 with my answers: (I only made decisions between 2 answers)

1. Question about Admin Alerts on 5 Member Servers

( ) Make 1 Alert on PDC

(o) Make 5 Alerts - one on each Server

2. Mandatory Profiles - If PDC goes down, what happens when Client Logs On?

(o) The Client will not be able to log on

( ) The Client can select a Domain and alternative Server to get Profile from

NOTE: I tested this in class, and I didn't get the message that I couldn't log on! But my lecturer told me that for the exam, answer "Can't Log On" (this has to do with the installed servicepacks)

3. You are Installing NT Server and your non-SCSI CD Rom is not detected by the Intallation Program. What should you do?

( ) Run setup.exe blah blah blah

(o) Run installation again and select DETECT MASS STORAGE DEVICE

( ) Run installation again and select CD Rom Driver from List

( ) Run Winnt32.exe from MSDOS

( ) Run Winnt.exe /s from MSDOS

4. This question was about Protocol Binding Order - the 90 % and 10 % thing.
They give you a story about Remote Networks and a Central Network and you work out that you should change the binding order on the Clients Machine not on the Server, but where?

5. Directory Replication - they show you a graphic of the Import Machine and ask where should you put the files on the Export machine?

6. This was about Permormance for file sharing - the less than 10 users, the 64, the SQL etc etc. They ask where do you make the setting?

7. Performance Monitor - Optimizing Pagefile - which do you use?

( ) Pages per Second

8. Performance Monitor - doing test on 5 different PCs over a week - which do you use?

9. RAS - dialing in, they don't specify weather the client is using encrytion or not - this was one of those graphic things, when you have to point to the correct one.

10. RAS - your server has NetBEUI and TCP/IP, so does the client. What do you do?

(o) Setup how RAS will assign IP Addresses

I got 100 % for all sections except :

Monitoring and Optimization 75 %

Shooting Trouble DEAD 80 %
