Subject: Different questions

Hi,

I passed the exam on 29 June 98 and I managed to jot down a few questions that is very much different from any other braindump.

1. You install a RAS server on your network. Remote users will use Window NT Workstation computer with Dial-Up Networking to access a database. The database is stored on a different Window NT Server computer from RAS server. You want to use data encryption to provide security for information that is transmitted to and from the database via Dial-Up Networking. Users of other client computers, which use 3rd PPP software, need access to the RAS server to run application other than the database. These client computer do not support data encryption.

How can you support this configuration ?

A. Configure the RAS server to request data encryption for only Window NT Workstation computer. Configure the server that contains the database to request data encryption for remote users.

B. Configure the RAS server to request data encryption for specific modem port. Configure the Window NT Workstation computer to dial in to modems attached to only these ports.

C. Configured the RAS server to request data encryption for specific users accounts

 D. Configure the RAS server to allow access for all remote users. Configure the server that contain the database to request data encryption for remote users.

 2. Your RAS server is configured as shown in the exhibit. Users of Window NT Workstation computer dials in to the RAS server. What can Window NT Workstation computer be configured to do. (Choose more  than one)

The Exhibit will looks like this :-

 Dial Out Protocol

  "a tick" on NetBeui

"a tick" on TCP/IP

"a tick" on IPX

Server settings

Allow remote client running

"a tick" on NetBeui

"a tick" on TCP/IP

"no tick" on IPX

A. Run application that request a Wins Sockets interface.

B. Run application that request a Netbios interface.

C. Use IPX protocols to administer Netware server that reside on thenetwork.

 D. Connect to shared resources that reside on the RAS server.

3. You want to identify the OS version and the role of each Window NT server computer and Window NT workstation computer that is a member of a domain from a domain controller. What should you use.

 A. The network option in Control Panel.

 B. Server Manager

 C. Performance Monitor

 D. Network Client Administrator.

4. You suspect that excessive paging resulting from a lack of memory is causing slow performance on a Window NT Server computer. You want to use Performance Monitor to confirm your suspicious. What activity should you monitor.

 A. The number of pages per second on the server.

 B. The percentage of physical disk activity.

 C. The percentage of paging file that is in use.

 D. The peak percentage of the paging file that is in use.

 5. Your network has 3 NT Server computer. You want to be able to monitor disk space usage on each server so that you will be notified when free space on any part falls below 25 percent. How can you do this.

 A. On each server use Server Manager to add your computer name or user name to the list of name that alerts should be sent to

 B. On each server use Server Manager to start the Alerter service. Change the startup parameters so that your account name is specified as the logon name for the Alerter service.

 C. On your computer use Performance Monitor to create an alert on the percentage free space counter for each logical disk on each server.

D. On one server start the schedule service. Use that comm..........( not the right answer anyway !).

The End.
