Howdy, all... This is my dump. Take a whiff.
Just took the Server 4.0 test... passed with a 818. Should have gotten
higher, but that's what I get for staying up till 4am studying for a
test I have to take at 9am. Live and learn, I guess.
The Transgender (uh, Trancender) tests were life savers. Some parts
looked like they were ripped right off of the test. Study these well.

You have a server running a Access database and a RAS server, two
separate machines. Some of your people in the field need to call in
and access the database, and are running NT Workstation. Others need
to call in to the RAS server, but have no need to access the database.
These people are using misc. operating systems with third party PPP
clients, that don't support data encryption. You want to go with the
most secure option you have...
Allow all users to access the RAS server, and only require data
encryption when accessing the database.
(Some other answers were crack smoking answers, talking about null
modems and the like. This one made the most sense.)

You have 3 domains, Research1, Sales1, Somethingelse1... Lusers (uh, I
mean users) in Research1 copy 100mb files back and forth from the server.
This is hurting over all network performance. Fix it, Mr. Admin.
Create a new physical subnet, add a second net card to Research1 server,
have all lusers in Research1 use that subnet. Life is good.

You want to install the Migration Tool for Netware on your system (because,
well, Netware BITES). How can you do this?
Install Gateway Services for Netware and NWLink. Watch Netware stock drop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You want to demote your PDC to a member server, and your BDC a PDC. You've
installed NT Admin tools on your 95 workstation. How do you do this?
First off, it shouldn't make a flying hoot if your doing this on the server
or on a remote workstation. Keep that in mind.
Second, the only way your PDC is going to be a member server is if you
reinstall NT. No if's, and's, or butt's about it.
Third, you CANNOT 'demote' a PDC. There is NO option for this ANYWHERE.
You can, however, 'promote' a BDC to a PDC, then reboot the original PDC,
and it will detect the new PDC and become a BDC. Now, put down the crack
pipe, and please back away. Slowly.

No questions on browsing, master browsers, etc.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have a Netware client running 3.x and a NT server. You install NWlink
on the server. What can the Netware client access?
Netbios enabled sever applications. I think. Pretty sure, anyway. Ok,
I guessed, sue me. I still think it's right. Look it up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surprisingly few question about the ARC path.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 questions about Auditing, but nothing in depth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
4 questions on Performance monitor...
One was:
You want to keep track on a server's page/sec counter over a week. Which
option do you choose?
Log. (Imagine that, a log in a dump!)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have fun guys... good luck.
