I’ve passed networking Essiantials, Windows 95, and NT 4.0 server. Three down and three to go. I like to thank all who have contributed to this site and hope my entry is of some help. Watch out for some of the braindumps cause I have found them to be incorrect .
Lets break it down.
The test started with around 10 to 15 questions related to performance
monitoring and the alerter service.
Then about 10 to 15 more on disk administrator and different drive configurations
striped parity and non parity, mirror, volume and disk duplexing.Then came
network interoperability and then remote access service toward the end of
the test.
A few printing questions where mixed in between the four major areas . Eat
the cookies you spending a hundred bucks pass or fail.
I strongly recommend sybex windows nt server 4.0 study guide and without a doubt transcender (take test intill scoring in the nine hundreds,If you know the transcender you will pass their was only a few ? the pratice test did not cover.) [...]
If the printer port is not showing up the dlc protocal is not installed .to direct print jobs to a different printer asign a new port . To add a printer to a print server you only need to add or change port to the printer.Microsoft reffers to print devices as the physical printer and printer as the driver .
Manage share with server manager and file and folder permissions and printers with windows explore.some brain dumps said to manage a share to a cd useing windows explore this is wrong(thats were one of my 70% came from.
every raved on an on about how this and ras was 95% of the test and to know it like the back of you hand so I studied it .I hope I can use that info on enterprise cause this stuff was a breeze .with some basic concepts.you could pass all these ? with 5min of studing time .Know that on netbios\client server apps you need nwlink installed also on sql server.know if you need to install gsnw make a group on netware server and asign user accounts to this group the group is called ntgateway.if they say that gsnw is aleady installed map a drive share using gsnw in the control panel.if the nw clients are accessing nt install nwlink on server if the nt clients are access nw servers install gsnw.if the nw clients need to access nt for printers and shares you need file and print for nw installed.know where to copy profiles from system icon in control panel/user profiles.Also that export sys can be any nt server imports can be any winnt server or workstations .windows 95 can not be a import or export and can not use nt profiles or print drivers.
Their were about 5 to 10 questions at the very end of the test. Know what you can access connecting with the three different protocols.
Don’t let this one scare you , I found it easier than net ess and windows 95 test .
