Subject: 70-67 braindump
I'd like to start off by thanking everyone who has posted their
braindumps, they were incredibly valuable for me. I passed exam 70-67
yesterday with a 981. I was so psyched, I had no idea I could do that
well. I only got one question wrong one the whole test (Managing
Resources.)
To study I read MCSE Training Guide: NT Server 4 from New Riders, and MCSE
TestPrep: NT Server 4. The TestPrep has over 500 questions and comes in
real handy, but beware, you have to be carefull, the book is riddled with
typos and other mistakes. I also attened a week-long training course,
which was helpful, but I think I could have passed the test without it.
And of course, I used sample test (Self-assesment, Transcenders Exams,
etc.) and the braindumps.
I would recommend everyone go over the questions, just
to make sure you didn't get fooled. MS loves to throw you off by changing
a word or two to throw you off the track. They also like to throw in a lot
of irrelevant info to throw you off.
I had already seen most of the questions in the braindumps and the sample
exams.
Here's a brief run down of the questions I had:
*You want to install Windows95 on 10 WfW clients over the network. How
would you do this (pick 3).
needed to know the difference between Network Client Startup Disk and
Network Client Installation Disk. In this case you would use a Network
Client Startup Disk.
*You have four HD with 250MB on each. You create a Stripe set without
parity, One drive fails, how do you restore the data?
A) Break mirror
B) Regenerate
C) replace disk and do nothing else
D) restore from backup
D. They said WITHOUT parity!!! Always be on the lookout for tricks like
this. In fact whenever I saw 'strip set', I immediately double check to
see of it said 'with' or 'without'
*I got that damn question about manual profiles.
If the server goes down, users CANNOT log in!!!! I can't stress this
enough. I've seen several sources stating differently, but they are WRONG.
The confusion on this question is generated from a bug that actually
allows users to log in using a cached profile, but this bug has been fixed
in SP3. Take my word for it, I got 100% on Connectivity.
*what happens when you transfer file from a NTFS partition to a FAT
partition?
LFN retain; permissions lost
*A couple of questions on ARC paths:
you must know that:
SCSI() is only used on a SCSI controller with BIOS DISABLED
when SCSI(), RDISK(0)
when MULTI(), DISK(0)
SCSI(),MULTI(),RDISK(),DISK() - start counting at 0
PARTITION() - start couting at 1
* Something with an exhibit on Replication import servers.
you can use and NT WS or Server to import.
only NTS can export
* Permissions:
user and group right are cumulative (but NO ACCESS overrides all else)
share, directory, file permissions (least permissive rights are granted)
* NTBOOTDD.SYS is needed when using a SCSI controller with BIOS DISABLED
* Know how to make a Fault Tolerant boot disk
* Know that users must log out and log in for changes to take effect
* Know about the Emergency Recovery Disk
* Know about booting in VGA mode; LAST KNOWN GOOD
* Auditing (exhibit)
If you read through the braindumps and do well on the Transceder and
Self-Assesment exams, you will pass.
