Test # 70-067
Hello,
I took the NT Server exam last night and it was adaptive. I knew that NTWS was because I took that about two weeks ago. Even though I called the test center before hand they did not even know that it had been switched till I told them. You guys know that your test is downloaded to the center before you take it so I guess that Microsoft is switching to adaptive faster than everyone thought. I had heard that this would not be completed till 2Q or 3Q of 1999.
When I took the test it said that you'd have 25-35 adaptive questions and 10 non adaptive. I'm pretty sure that I read this right. I only got about 25 adaptive questions and then the program ended and said I passed. You still get 90 minutes for the exam and you cannot go back and change an answer with the adaptive questions. Once you answer and go to the next question, your answer is etched in stone.
My test prep method was NT experience with no classes (all self study), various NT books, this web site, Exam-Cram, Transcender and Sobe Wisdom.
Tests that I've taken in the past were just regurgitations of the Transcenders, Exam Crams and info from here. But these test questions were a little different but not enough that if you study and understand the Transcender and other questions here that they would throw you off.
Thanks to this site I was much better prepared for all of my MCP tests than just doing it on my own.
P.S. For those of you that are not in the know, Sobe Wisdom (www.sobebev.com <http://www.sobebev.com> ) is a great drink that has Ginko in it. Ginko is reputed to help with memory and powers of concentration. I love the stuff!
