Subject: NT 4 Server

A big thank you to all up uploaded their braindumps and the keepers of this site!

I passed the NT Server test today with a score of 945. I think I've seen all the questions of the test here in the braindumps in one fashion or another. A word of caution, subtle changes in the wording of question can result in different answers, and I do believe that MS does have several similar questions that differ only enough to cause the answers to differ.

Know your stuff.

Fist let me address the infamous mandatory profile question. I went with users cannot log on. I am not sure if I'm right. I did do some research on the matter. The way all books I've seen tell you how to implement mandatory profiles, user will be able to log on with a cashed profile or the default profile. But by adding .man to the actual directory name, they will not be able to log go. Go figure. I got my info from MS support site:

http://support.microsoft.com/support/ntserver/content/faq/nt4profilefaq.asp#

PROFILEQA4

Which says the following:

Question:

When users log on and their mandatory user profiles are unavailable (for example, the server is offline), the local user profile is used. Under Windows NT 3.51, users were not allowed to log on when their mandatory user profile was not available. How can I implement this behavior under Windows NT 4.0?

Answer:

To prevent user from logging on when the mandatory user profiles are not available, in addition to renaming Ntuser.dat to Ntuser.man, add the .man extension to a user's profile folder, and then add the .man extension to the profile path in User Manager for Domains. For example, rename Joe User's profile folder to joeuser.man, and then use User Manager for Domains to modify Joe's profile path to \\servername\sharename\joeuser.man.

A couple of questions that I wasn't sure about.

There was a question on requirements for printer pools. It let you make one choice, just one. It had in the answer options, that the printers must be connected to the same server and another option that the printers must use the same driver. I thought both were needed! I choose have to have same driver. Not sure if I got it right.

The other question was about regenerating a stripe set with parity. The where two answers that looked extremely similar and correct, except one said use free space and the other said create a partition. I choose the use free space to regenerate. Again, not sure if I got that one right.

That's all I have that isn't what is on other dumps. Please study the questions you find in the dumps and research the answers yourselves. Good luck All!!
