Thanks to everybody who shared the information about the exam details. My advice to everybody who is getting ready to take the test is to research this site for about a week, That's what I did.

I have passed my NT Server 4 Exam today with the score 981 ! I only missed one question in "Installation and configuration" Fortunately, I do know what question I have missed. This was my second exam .My first was NT workstation.

I passed that a month ago with 901. but I discovered this site after the first exam.

The question that I missed was very tricky because it looked just like one of the questions on the transcender test, only one word was different. Here it goes : You have 40 NT Workstations in a workgroup named "support" You decided to install the server (PDC) on your network named "support" and make all workstations a members of the domain named "support" what must be done after you have installed the PDC (choose all that applied)

a)user server manager to add workstations to the domain

b)use User Manager for Domains to create accounts for All NT workstation computers.

c)Administrators of Workstations must log in to each workstation and use network in control panel to make workstations join domain

d)Something else-wrong

The trick is in b)-You know that you must Use User Manager for Domains to create accounts to all Workstation Users, but that was not even one of your choices. Answer B) says to create accounts for each NT workstation, which was WRONG!!!

When I read the question, I had a feeling that in was wrong Answer, but I chose it anyway. The correct answer is only A) and C)

One more question that I have not seen on the dumps : You have a single domain with one central location and three remote locations. Users in remote locations use NetBEUI for local network and they use a gateway and TCP/IP to access central location. 90 % of the time user access local resources. How can you optimize network performance: a) on remote servers move NetBEUI to the top of the bindings

b) on central location server, move NetBEUI to the top of the bindings,c) on remote workstations, move NetBEUI to the top of the bindings. d) on the remote workstations move TCP/IP to the top of the bindings.

I chose C) - I got that right.

On the "Mandatory roaming profile" I answered - Users will not be able to log in if the server with their profiles is down. I know now that was the correct answer since I only missed one question on "installation and configuration"

One more question that I have not seen on the Dump: Your network consists of windows95 Clients and MS_DOS clients. You have one NetWare server and one NT server. Clients have NWLink compatible protocol installed on their computers and all configured with Clients for Microsoft Network. User must have access to DATA on NT server and on NetWare server. what must you install on the NT server?

a)enable NWlink compatible transport on the server

b)file services for NetWare

c)Gateway services for NetWare

d)Rip

e)SAP

The trick here is that the question says they need to access DATA on servers which means FILES. That means that you must enable Gateway Services for NetWare.

NWlink is all you would have need to install on the server if clients need to access Client-Server applications. So I chose c)

I had one similar question but with "the clients need to access SQL server applications. For that question I chose NWlink transport.

I had the question when you must allow your dial in clients to chose their own method of authentication. I chose allow any authentication including clear text.

One more question that I haven seen exactly here is:

you configured your RAS server to assign IP addresses using DHCP what else can you assign to dial-in clients using DHCP

a)The address of the WINS server

b)The address of the FTP server

c)The address of theDNS server

d)The default gateway

e)the address of the MAIL server.

I chose A), C), and D) only.

The rest of the question I saw on this site or in Transgender or some question were too easy to even mention here.

OK people I made my contribution.

Next week I'm taking server enterprise. If I get near 1000 score, then I will post some info here.
