Subject: 70-067 Test

I passed the Administering test last week with a 963. Brain Dumps helped me too.

OK here is what I can Remember

1. A question on what do you do to create the three NT setup disks the options were:

A. From an MS-DOS station run Winnt.exe from the NT Server CD

B. From an MS-DOS station run Setup.exe from the NT Server CD

C. From an NT station run Winnt.exe from NT Server CD

D. From an NT station run Setup.exe from NT Server CD.

Answer: A; If you have ever installed NT this is the first thing you do, you need 3 formatted floppies.

2. A question on how to upgrade NT 3.51 to NT 4.0 and keep existing groups, profiles and settings. This was a select all that apply.

The answer was Install NT 4.0 with 3 setup disks and install to same NT directory as 3.51 OR boot to NT 3.51 and run the winnt32.exe.

3. Minimum requirements for disk duplexing

2 disk controllers

2 hard disks

4. Minimum requirements for striping w/ parity (raid 5)

1 disk controller

3 hard disks

5. You have 4 disks with 250mb of free space on each how much space would be available if you make a stripe set with parity?

A. 1000 mb

B. 750 MB

C. 500 MB

D. 250 MB

Answer: B 1 disk space worth is used for parity and the rest can store data.

6. Minimum NT server requirements for a Netware client to access a Netbios compatable Client Server application on the NT Server.

A. Gateway Services for Netware

B. NWLINK compatable protocol

C. Client Services for Netware

D. Enable SAP advertising

Answer: B

7. Question on RAS gives an exhibit describing the the dialout and client protocols. IPX/SPX is not checked for client protocols and they ask what will user be able to access.

Answer: Anything but a Netbios compatible Client Server application on an NT server.

8. Question stating that you have a group of users who need to copy 100mb of files to an NT server and then network slows down what should you do?

Answer: Install second NIC and enable IP routing (careful question has a lot of irrelevant info.)

9. A question saying that you need to build a boot disk and you boot of a scsi drive without scsi bios enabled and lists all files you need to boot and asks which one you need to add.

Answer: NTBOOTDD.SYS, file needed for non-scsi bios enabled controllers.

10. Question asking how to make an NT boot disk.

Answer: format diskette from an NT station and copy boot.ini, ntdetect.com, boot.ini

can't remember but pay attention to see if scsi card has bios enabled or not. if not you need ntbootdd.sys

11. RAS question saying you have MS Client and Non-MS Clients dialing in to RAS server and need encryption for both. how do you accomplish. Setup one modem port with MS-CHAP and have MS clients dialin there and setup another port with CHAP and have third party clients dialin there.

12. Question asking how to make system partition redundant

A. Disk Striping with no parity

B. Disk Striping with parity

C. Disk Duplexing

D. Disk Mirroring

Answers: C&D; cannot do raid 5 on system partition and raid 0 (striping without parity) provides no redundancy.

- only 1 arc path names question (I studied just before I took test and was able to figure out answer)

- what do you need to do to backup registry

- how do you create a share from Win95 with admin tools loaded onto a NT Server.

Answer: Server manager (hint: you use explorer to connect to a share, not create one and to manage file permissions)

- What view to do over a weeks time: log view

- question on what to do if you are monitoring 10 servers from an NT workstation and network response is slow answer: decrease polling interval.

That is all that I can remember now, but remember to study Netware, RAS, Disk Management, Performance Monitor.

Good Luck,

Kevin
