Subject: Braindump NT Server4 (70-067)
I also have 1 & 1/2 years with NT and 5 in networks. The dumps will help, but YOU MUST KNOW THE CONCEPTS!!!
Anyhow, here's my contribution:
Lots of tape back up questions. About 6-10 questions I hadn't seen on brain dumps yet (but they could be from old posts as I didn't look at ones before May)
Here are 3 I remember and haven't seen before. The rest are in the dumps.
1) You are adding a SCSI tape backup to your PC. You have physically installed it. What next? (check all that apply)
A) Add SCSI controller device driver
B) Add tape device device driver
C) Something...
D) Add SCSI controller in CP --> SCSI Adapters icon
I chose B & D (please check on this one!)
2) You have two servers, Main1 and Main2, and 40 NTW. Main1 does tape backup nightly starting at 8PM and backs up servers and all workstations. It doesn't get done however until 10:00 AM since there is so much data. How to speed up the process?
A) Add second tape device to Main1 and have 1 drive backup servers and 1 drive backup NTW's simutaneously.
B) Something...
C) Replace original tape backup with larger storage media type.
D) Add tape device to Main2, have Main1 backup servers and Main2 backup NTWs.
I chose D. I scored 100% on Troubleshooting.
This one is worth mentioning because there was a potential trick in there:
3) You need to configure a share on a member server so that some users can have access to it, but not administrators. How to?
A) Create local group for that server, add global group to local, assign rights to local group.
B) Something wrong
C) Something wrong
D) Create local group in domain, add global group to local domain group, assign rights to local group.
I chose A. As always, assign rights to local groups and place globals in locals. However, be careful to select the local group for server, and NOT local group for domain. Otherwise they are the same I think. I think the overall point was that you also needed to remove domain admins from the local server (the default) as local admins, but I cannot remember. The answer is correct though, I scored 100% on managing resources.
