NT Server in the Enterprise

Well, this was the most difficult exam so far.(out of WS,SERVER,NET ESS)

Alot of tricky,weird,there did not seem to be a really good answer for the question type questions.

On with the dump:

Know about System Policy files and the steps that are involved with making them available for users in a domain.

I had a question about Print permissions, so know the difference between Print & Manage Permissions

Know about NTFS permissions. I had two or three q's on NTFS permissions- local and remote.

Know "No access" permission overrides other permissions.

I had the famous broker q's. I think both of the q's answers were Met all req results and optional results

Know the difference between Microsoft Encryption and Allow any authenticated clear text

Be carefull about getting tripped up with Stripe Set and Stripe Set w/ Parity....a stripe set is a stripe set w/o parity according to the Microsoft Press. If a stripe set w/ parity=2 disks fail, must restore from backup.

 Know the server settings like Minimize memory used, I had a q that said "If you have 7000 users logging on which setting do you use?" well I have yet to find the answer for this.. I put Balance...but I could be wrong.

 Had a question that said " You want to monitor changes to a directory database?" and you had to put the crosshairs on the audit event---Use of user rights or user and group management, etc.......

 Know when creating a baseline you want to monitor the network during business hours to compare with data at a later time.

 Well that is all I can remember.

Microsoft Press is good.
