Greetings: Well, after the second time, I finally passed NT Server 4 in the Enterprise. The difference between the two tests was (and probably still is) amazing. I got a 764 on the first one and 882 on the second. Now here is the rub! After flunking the first one I did not study at all and managed to score over a hundred points more. Frankly I believe the first test was designed for failure. At any rate, I offer the following information:
1) The first test had approximately 40 situation questions, the second test had approximately 10 situation questions.
2) The heavy situational test used terms which I had never heard before and seemed to point to experience with items from the resouce kit. The second test did not.
3) The breakdown of material is about the same on both tests, that is: heavy trusts, managing resources, connectivity and light on printing, netware and RAS.
4) The non-situation questions on the first test were either poorly written or intentionally misleading. Frequently there were two right answers but you had to select only one choice. The second test followed the more traditional Transcender format.
With this said all I can offer in the way of advise is the following:
If you start off the test with situations and they continute one right after the other, then you have received the first test that I flunked.
Take a deep breath and plow forward. Plan on multiple exhibits and plan on little review time. Consequently, limit your question marking to only those questions you can not legitimately answer. After reading the situations look to see if they meet the required results. If they do not, answer and move on. This will save you a little time (Not much but a little). Naturally, know your subject and read the braindumps with caution. You probably wouldn't take someone's word or advice on a carte blanche basis for most of life's questions, so don't do it when you read the braindumps. Instead use the info to research out the areas of study.
Well, on to TCP/IP
