NT 4.0 Enterprise - 70-68
First of all: thanx to everybody who sent in their braindumps. And thanx to LearnQuick.Com for organizing it!
Ive only got to follow the dumps after I had already done my Networking essentialls and I notice the difference. You get to be really prepared for it.
I also tried the preparation-exams as supplied to me by the MS-institute, but those really sucked.
They give you a false sense of readiness, whilst the questions are really so much different !
So now for my contribution to the site. I passed my exam without any problem. Score: 842.
There were some tricky questions I marked, but I didnt feel like reviewing them after finishing the last question. The questions I worked out below were pretty clearcut to me, so I like to share them with
you.
You need to simplify a way to distribute IP addresses on a network. Also you need to
speed up the process of directing network requests.
In which way can DHCP help you accomplish this ?
I chose (A). DHCP does nothing more or less than distributing IP-numbers within a prefixed scope.
A printer is connected to a Windows NT-server using an ethernet-device (IP/DLC). After resetting the
printer you are no longer able to print through this device.
What is the most likely cause for this ?
I chose (D). The first answer is pure bull. (B) I just didnt understand (duplexed printer config???).
Answer (C) is rubbish also. The only answer that made sense was (D).
A Windows NT-Server has six disks connected to a SCSI-controller. Theres one system-disk and
the other five disks are set up using stripe set with parity. The power fails and the system reboots.
Two disks from the stripe set are failing after boot. You replace both disks. What else is necessary to recover the configuration ?
The answer is ofcourse (D). One disk wouldnt have been fatal, but TWO

One disk in the stripe-set is failing after boot. You replace the disk. What else is necessary to recover the configuration ?
A. Start Disk-administrator and choose "regenerate"
B. Start Disk-administrator and choose "establish mirror"
C. Wait for Windows to recognize the new disk
D. Establish a stripe set and restore the data using a tape-unit
Again answer (D). What would life be without parity J
Three depts/groups: ACTTG, SALES and MARKETING. Two printers are connected to the network. ACCTG produces heavy print jobs (about 75% of all printjobs). Also; because of extensive calculations even during print, the actual printing takes longer (causing the printer to pause and wait).
Required
SALES should have highest priority for printing on either printers.
ACCTG is not allowed to take up more than one printer at a time.
Optional
The actual printingtime for ACCTG should be reduced to a minimum.
A printjob from MARKETING should never be surpassed by a ACCTG-printjob
Proposition:
Sales gets the highest printing prio (15). Marketing gets the second highest (10).
ACCTG gets normal prio (1).
Sales and Marketing are taken up in the printerpool. ACCTG is directed to one printer.
Sales and Marketing are set to "print after first page is spooled".
ACCTG is set to "print after last page is spooled".
Answer is (A).
A Windows-NT server doesnt boot. After post the message appears "unable to find Ntoskrnl".
Setup disks are not available. An ERD has been made. What should you do ?
Choose two answers.
Answer (A) and (C). You cannot boot from an ERD. Reinstalling NT is kinda destructive.
I got the Maria-question (described in earlier dumps). About 12 questions concerning trusts of which
one question was kinda tricky (my advice is to draw out the required situation and count the trusts).
The Novell migration question came around: How to handle duplicate accounts. Ofcourse using the Migration-tool (and checkmarking the option for deleting duplicates) is the only right answer. You need to remember that MS always makes you choose the answer thats "good" for Microsoft.
Hope this dump is usefull. The other dumps sure helped me !
Goodluck !
