Subject: NT Server in the Enterprise braindump

compared to the four other tests I have taken, Networking Essentials,

Workstation, Server, TCP/IP, this one was the most difficult. Some of

the questions were very subtle. It has been a few days since I took the

test and my mind is starting to shift gears to Exchange Server and

beyond to certification, so my recollection of the test is less than

specific. But what I can remember follows:

2 or 3 questions on fault tolerance, which to use for the best

performance and how to recover from a failed disk.

Several trust related scenarios

2 or 3 on RAS and how to set up to allow a group of users access and for

encryption of data and passwords.

1 on permissions - combination of share and NTFS and their relationship.

1 or 2 scenarios on logon validation and WINS traffic over a WAN link

and how to optimize.

1 on changing a SCSI driver which causes the server not to boot and how

to recover from it.

1 on printing permissions and priorities of users - 99=highest priority

1 on enabling disk performance counters in performance monitor.

Know the domain models, single, master, multiple master, and complete

trust and when to use each.

1 on creating groups to allow users to backup all servers and

workstations in a domain.

1 or 2 on requirements for migration of Netware to NT (you need NWlink

and NTFS) and when to use a mapping file.

1 on network monitor vs. performance monitor and which is best to check

the performance of the network.

1 on creating a system policy file.

1 or 2 on correct memory setting (Minimize Memory Used, Balance, etc.)

for PDC.

That is about all I can remember. Thanks to all who have submitted

braindumps to this site; they have been immensely helpful as a study

guide. I have also used Self Test Software practice tests which will map

closely to the classroom manuals and will take you through them one

minute detail at a time, and the Transcender practice tests which are

very close to the real thing.
