Braindump after passing 70-68 Enterprise follows

No real surprises after this site as far as general test topics-different

wordings only.

Several questions on domain types varying #of users, account & resource

control. The usual series of trust diagram senarios to fill the time which

was tight as advertised.

A couple of RAS scenario on NT machines requiring exclusive access for a

group with optional desired encrypted password and data. One used MSChap

solution the other 'any authorization including clear text'-neither selected

data encryption.

A question on setting up servers as IP routers so they could recognize new

routers on the network with choices of RIP for IP, RIP for IPX , SAP,

DHCP.etc.

The frequently mentioned IIS setup for 10 company WWW folders on a single

NIC-pick two from below including assign separate IP's to NIC, assign IP to

folder, etc.

Check all below that could be used to collect data on a network setup:

Excel,Response Probe, Net Monitor, & Performance Monitor. (One other

question mentioned Response Probe also)

A couple on Netware migration (use NTFS vs FAT) (use a mapping file to

avoid overwrite/skip Of duplicate account names)

If you fail to connect to network printer via DLC it may be because some

dirt bag is hogging it with a 'continuous connect' mode DLC setting.

Another printer question on how to setup permissions so only the submitter

of a document can manage it (No one else including network administrators).

A long printer scenario question with Mgmt, Sales, & long printing

choice & success/fail to track changes in the directory database. The

other was on the best server memory management (Balanced, File etc.) choice

for 5000 machines-server used for authentication.

Several WAN over modem links where having BDC's in the remote locations was

essential to improve preformance and reduce net logon traffic and one where

more BDC's were needed in a single location to improve logon performance at

peak use.

One on Net Monitor display filter setting to show traffic to a single

computer-word descriptions no <--== symbols involved.

One on which variable most useful to set up multiple home directories

"%HOMEPATH%, %USERNAME%, etc."

One on use of regular daylong intervals to establish baseline with

Performance Monitor.

One on use of logical disk objects to track partition loads.
