Enterprise...

I just wrote enterprise, it was a tough exam... here are some tips:

The transcenders were close but do not cover all the questions on the exam. Make sure you understand why the answer is correct, just don't memorize the question and answer. The real exams focus on the same area, but the question may not be the same. For example on Transcender A Q25, the question does not appear but you need to know why the answer is correct to answer a filter question on the exam.

The scenario questions all appeared on the exam, except the names were changed to protect the innocent.

Questions that are similar: (Enterprise 4 1997)

A)1,8,9,10,13.14,16-23,29,30,33,37,38,39,43,47,51

B)2,3,7,10,1,18,19,21,22,24-28,33-36,40-48

C)1,3,4,8,13-17,21-24,26,27,28,31,33,34,35,36,37,41,42,43

TRUSTS ! if you dont know them well, you will not pass

I think that this exam was the toughest of the core exams, be careful, you read the questions because they are very specific. For example, there was a question where the answers was a) ...regenerate the stripe set... b)... regenerate the stripe set with parity....The answer are identical except for the "with parity". It may seem unfair that in a question about fault tolerance where they say "a stripe set with parity has failed..." the answer tries to trick you. Read all the given answers.

Remember:

1. Resources trust People

2. Memorize this chart, it will help you on every question that asks what type of domain to set up... the way I used it was to look at the type of administration they wanted on Accounts and Resources, if they had less than 40K users and wanted centralized administration of accounts but not resources, then the single master domain model would do etc.

Structure: Max. Acc Accounts Resources

SD <40K C C

SMD <4OK C D

MMD Any # CMD D

CT Any # D D

3. Know fault tolerance... this will get you some easy marks. If you have taken server and workstation, these questions should be easy

4. Permissions and Shares... this was also a big part of the exam, know the difference.

Best of luck
