Know MORE than you think you know about trusts or fail!

Know how to setup multiple web pages on a single install

of IIS. Really know this ... the questions are un-forgibing.

Know what rights a user from domain A has if he/she logs onto

domain B. ( I said the rights that the "B/domain guests" group has

been assigned).

Know the rulles on data encrypion for NTWS remote users logging

in to a RAS server. Is data encryped even if the RAS server

is setup to allow clear text? Is the password encrypted even

if the RAS server is setup to allow clear text?

Know the rules for encryption for the above question if the

RAS server is setup for MS authentication. These two questions

were framed within a multiple senario question. Miss this one

and possibly miss four questions (80 points baby...).

Know what to first when you have a striped set with parity

and two disks fail.

Know what to do first when your boot part/ system part. (both on

the same drive), fails. The answeres are tricky, part of the

quesiton tells you up-front that you do not have a set on setup disks

and you must choose two answers. The options were (I think...)

a) go to another computer and create some setup disks.

B) Boot from your ERD disk and .... (you cant boot from ERD)

c) boot form your setup disks and .... (you don't have any disks)

d) user your ERD disk to restore the reg.

e) run rdisk.exe to create ....something.

one answer did include restore from tape, i forget which one.

Above all you just need to know every detail about trusts, ntfs

figfhts, share rigfhts and how they work across trusts.

Got some questions about what kind of domain model (at least two)

should be used given some required and optional data.

Had one killer multiple senario quesion involving a world wide wan

with an exibit. 56kb lines and t1 lines connection all the sites.

The solutin was to put a bdc at each site, wins, and dhcp. The

requirements were to minimize logon authenticaiton on one senario,

and to cut down on tcpip traffic on another. The options were ??

The question above envolved just about every aspect of connectivity,

procols, RAS, tcpip, dhcp, wins, domain resource placement, syncron

ization tuning. And if you get this quesiton wrong you get the next one

wrong two (80 points).

Thats about all I can remember now. I will pass next time and tell

you more then. Good luck to all...
