Subject: Server4 in the Enterprise 70-68
I passed my server in the enterprise exam yesterday with the score 980! I missed one question again. I missed one question a week ago on my server exam.
I recommend to practice on transcender tests and research this site. It sure helpes to know the questions befor the exam, so that you can do your research. I missed one question on connectivity. I don't know which one. The time was running fast and I only had about 6 minutes left for review. Anyway, almost every question I had I've seen on this site.
On the question about which server setting to use for the server serving as a PDC for 5000 clients and as a wins server, I chose Maximize for network applications. This is a recommended setting for the server that runs applications that require their own memory caching. And I found out by reading the Server resource kit that Wins server does its own memory caching I had both questions with RAS and encrypted password. I answered "meet required and one optional" on both of them. In my opinion when they say put security hardware host between the Ras and modems they just trying to trick you. Also "if you chose any authentication including clear text and clients are using NT4 Workstations, then Passwords will be encripted. I found this information in the "MSCE network essentials guide"
The question about tools to Use for collecting data for future analysis of performance a) Excel, b) response probe c) network monitor d) performance monitor I chose only c and d) Response probe is not a tool server4. It's a tool in the resource kit and it's not used for collection of data and not used for analysis of data. So, my advise is don't go for the Response probe.
The question when someone from trusted domain has a permission to the NTFS file in a trusting domain, the I chose "a conflicting share permission" The other possible answer that may look right is "permissions cannot be assigned to global groups" is a wrong answer because permissions can be assigned to global groups from trusted domains.
The question when someone logged in from workstation from trusting domain to the trusted domain the answer is "he will have all permissions that a trusted domain\ user would have" This is how normally you log in a master domain model. After you log in, you have all the rights that domain users group in trusted domain has.
The question about Mexico and London domain when they have all pdc, wins dhcp in Mexico. The required result is to "optimize the network performance in London domain to the same level that is in Mexico" one of required results was to minimize the logon validation traffic across the Wan. In the proposed solution they did everything except putting BDC in London. So, I answered "Does not meet required result"
One more question that I have not seen here:
Mary (or someone) is a manager in Sales domain. She is vise president. She and 3 other vice presidents belong to SalesVisePres Global group. Corp trusts Sales. The local group on Corp named "Acct" already exists. Acct has change permission to a folder "payroll" in Corp Domain. Mary needs read permission for that "payroll" directory. Nobody else should have access to that directory. What is the best way to provide her the access?
a) Add global group SalesVisePres to the local group "Acct"
b) Add Mary's account to the "Acct" local group.
c) Create new local group in Corp domain, assign read permission to that local group for the "payroll folder" and add Mary's account to that new local group.
Remove all existing permissions for the "payroll folder"
This is not word for word of cause. The answer is c)
All other questions and answers you will find in the postings on this site. Good luck. This Site helped me get the great score on the test. I hope my posting will help someone too.
