Subject: Enterprise exam brain dump
Hello there,
I passed the Enterprise exam this morning (842). Thanks for the hints
shared on this web site. I found them most helpful. Here is what I
found during the exam:
A question on IIS, where you had 10 companies with their domain name
registered and wanted to use IIS as the web server. How do you
configure IIS to accomplish this? A question on server service
optimisation: 5,000 users on a domain. PDC mainly to be used to
fulfill logon requests. What configuration should you use for the
service optimisation: A. Minimise memory used, B. Balance, C. Maximize
for File Sharing, D. Maximize for Network Applications.
Scenario question on RAID. You have a Member Server with 6 SCSI disks.
1 system + 5. The five are in a stripe set with parity. Two of them
fail, what do you do to recover? Establish a new stripe set with parity
and recover from tape. Another scenario question on RAID. You have a
Member Server with 6 SCSI disks. 1 system + 5. The five are in a
stripe set without parity. One of them fails, what do you do to
recover? Establish a new stripe set with parity and recover from tape.
A question on user profiles. You don't want users to change their
profiles, what do you do? Rename NTUSER.DAT to NTUSER.MAN. On on
system profile: Where do you put the NTCONFIG.POL file in a single
domain? NTLOGON share on the PDC. I had lots of questions on trusts
(10 or more). I had a few on share and NTFS permissions (3). 1 question
on how to configure display filters in Network Monitor; printing pools
(1); setting priorities on printers (scenario question). Questions on
system policy (2). Question on Migration tool for NetWare (use of
mapping file). Question on troubleshooting (NTOSKRNL.EXE file is
missing, what do you do?). 2 scenario question on RAS (with account
policy to set up remote access security). 1 scenario question on WINS,
DHCP and synchronisation. 1 question on disk counters not working (have
to use the diskperf - y command). 2 questions on how to install NT on a
machine to be a BDC or a Member Server (in a lab to then move the
machine to its final destination). I found the exam a bit tight time
wise, so be aware of this and manage you time wisely. This is all I can
remember. Hope this helps (good luck!).
Cheers,
JR
