I passed the 70-068 with a 941 at 5:30pm on 10/1/1998. I missed 3, one

each in Managing Resources, Connectivity and Monitoring. I used the QUE

Exam Guide, MS Official 70-068 Course Book, NT 4.0 Concepts and

planning, MS Technet for clearing up Braindump disputes, Tran@@@nder,

Exa@#ner, PEP and Braindumps. I spent a few months studying and

reading. I took the Official ATEC 803(Wrkstn) and 929(Server) courses

at a University. It was a wordy test but not too bad. The scenarios

were not as bad as some describe. The time is spent thinking about the

scenarios they proposed. Sometimes the short questions were worded very

ambiguously and you stare at it and read it ten times before the answer

sinks in.

Do not trust the answers to some of the braindumps especially if the

person did not score over 900. I have found many errors in the answers.

Even when the person writes "I sure of this one!", they are not always

right. Look them up yourself. Many of the questions can be slightly

reworded and then a different answer will apply. The question can look

the same but it may not be. The four answers provided will be the same

but now the question is slightly different. I noticed some of the

Braindump questions looked similar but the answers were different. You

will need to understand the material in order to be able to select the

correct answer.

Example:

1. If you want to increase logon validations on a PDC (With or Without

WINS). Optimize server service for Network Applications(TECHNET).

However, if you wanted to optimize a Member Server where users kept

their homedirectories you may choose Optimize server service for FIle

and Print Sharing. Also sometimes the # of clients is specified and

this will produce a different answer. Do not assume anything not

written.

2. Mary logs into the PDC in the trusted domain she has access to

TRUSTED\Domain Users. Mary logs into a TRUSTED PDC but she has an

account on a RESOURCE domain. She be using a Guest account now

TRUSTED\Domain Guests.

3. RAS - Move the Required, Optional and Proposed solutions(sentences)

around in different sections and ways and practice answering them. My

RAS was different then in braindumps.

I see people in dispute on braindumps but they might be getting

different questions. Usually I notice that MS will have two bad answers

and you can spot them a mile away. You will need to choose between the

two remaining. MS wants to catch people who memorize the questions. So

they give the questions have the same four answers but slightly change

the questions.

If you really want to be in this business get a 4 yr. college degree.

There is much more to a job than learning about MS o/s's. Companies and

bosses can treat IS staff very badly at times and overwork you. Its not

all glory and money. If you want money and don't put in the work you

will get a surprise. If you just memorize Transcender and get lucky and

pass the tests all this does is cheapen the certificate and will bring

salaries down for everyone. I want to thank YANCY for not putting the

answers in.

Write this on your marker board when you sit down at the computer.

RE-IN-TRUSTED-A and draw an arrow from left to right over the top.

Resources go from the ING(IN) to the ED(trusted) Users Accounts.

Now write down WITH OR WITHOUT PARITY and always look for those words in

the questions on disks. I went straight through the test, no marked or

skipped and had 20 minutes to review. ALSO MAKE SURE THE ANSWER YOU

WANT IS THE ONE YOU CLICKED. Sometimes when I clicked an answer the one

above would select. Occasionally, I would go back 5 or 10 and review.
