Passed NT Enterprise 4 70-068 with 842 on last Sunday 31-05-98.

for all your contribution. The only consern was the answers, as no one

is sure there answer on Scenario's

 

30 minutes & only 5 scenarios completed.

 

It starts with Scenarios, same scenario's 2 solutions, which you find

around 4 (X2). Total will be around 20 lengthy one's.

Be care full, brain dump is very helpfull, DOUBLE CHECK THE ANSWERS

GIVEN IN OVER HERE.

 

 

1.A NT system with 6 SCSI Disks. 1 HD for system. 5 HD as stripe set

with parity. 2 disk failed in stripe set with parity.

2 HD replaced. How to regenerate back the stripe set.

 

a.Regenerate from disk Administrator

b.Wait for NT to regenerate

c.Create stripe set from the 5 HD and restore files from tape.

-->d.Create stripe set with parity with the 5 HD and restore

files

from tape.

 

2.Domains, West & East. West trust East. Guest account on both domain

removed. Everyone special group removed. A user logon to West. What

should be done for him to access resources on East.

 

a.Access permission to East/Domain User

3.During printing check printer jammed. Checks cannot be reprinted.

The

printer is turned off and jam cleared. The printer is turned on again.

4.Install NT Server as BDC for Domain Sales. Phyicall it is installed

in another network but you get Error Msg "Domain controller cannot be

located". What must you do to complete the installation ?

a.Install as PDC & then demote to BDC in Sales domain

b.Install as member server in workgroup

c.Install as BDC. Join the Sales Domain later and change

computer name

d.Install as BDC, Join the Sales Domain later and add the

computer name.

 

5.Installed New Device Driver for SCSI. NT not starting after

installation. No Setup Disk but have ERD. How to recover (Choose all)

 

-->a.Use Winnt to create setup disk on another NT

6.Domains Sales, Support, and Corp. Sales & Support trust Corp. Maria

is a member of GlobalGroup Budget in Corp. There is a Marketing Server

inside Sales. Inside Sales there is Shared directory named Forecast.

Using ntfs security the Corp\Budget group has been assigned with Read

permission for Forecast. Maria tried to access Forecast but denied.

 

a.Global Group cannot be assigned permissions to resources.

-->b.Some ntfs permission is overiding share permission

c.ntfs security cannot be assigned

7.Fault Tolerant scenario.

Currently used is Disk Duplex

NT Server Disk Stripping with parity.

Second proposed solution:

Stripping only.

9.Domains, Sales & Finance. Sales trust Finance. Shared Directory in

Sales Domain. Michael in finance Domain, member of Managers Global

Group. Guest account disabled.

10.Data resources at at HQ. All NT servers at different various

locations. The Network purely runs on TCP/IP. Objectives are to

simplify IP assignment and simplify access. What will you configure ?

 

Ans: DHCP assigns only ip address. (all answers gives you what DHCP

will help)

 

11.London & Mexico scenario question

 

12.domains East, West & Corp. Accounts centralised in Corp. For users

to use their logon Scripts anywhere in all three domains. where should

the logon scripts be located ?
