( I'm sure Microsoft will love to hear this!)
I just finished the Enterprise Exam 2 hours ago passing with 823.
Just a word of warning, the
questions have changed!! I was probably better
prepared for this test and more confident toward Enterprise than I had been
any other test I have taken. I scored 980 consistently on the Transender
exams and the same on the PEP test from Microsoft. I came out of the
exam feeling disturbed, mostly because the exam was
not what I had expected at all and because Microsoft had taken obvious test
questions provided from Exam Cram and Transender and distorted them,
using the same questions but changing a phrase here and a word there to make
you think it was familiar when actually it changed the whole logic of the
question and answer.
Out of the 51 questions there were at least
10
lengthy and
involved scenarios! Two of the scenarios were muili-level exhibits!
(Two exhibits were used per question). They boosted the time
from 90 minutes to 110 minutes. I finished with 6 minutes to spare
and had NO TIME for review.
All this said, I have taken the ATEC training for Enterprise as well as studied
for Enterprise a total of at least 70 hours. I read and re-read the Exam
Cram and practiced Transender until I could quote the questions verbatim
and knew the answers before my fiancé finished reading me the questions.
And I have over a years experience with NT domains having installed 23 networks
in the last 14 months. I am co-responsible for a domain consisting
of 14 PDC's and 67 BDC's with over 11000 users total in our
company. Never the less I struggled!
Just a word to the wise along with my suggestion. Know Enterprise!
Know the material! And do not go into the exam with any
misconceptions or false assurances.
You have to know it or you
will fail!!
There was also lots of questions on IIS and TCP/IP. If I hadn't already
taken the ATEC TCP/IP course I would have failed the Enterprise
Exam. I have to admit that I was surprised that no one else on
any brain dump anywhere even hinted at what I experienced. I
am left wondering if this was some kind of Beta Exam!!??
If this is true, both Transender and Exam Cram will have to be rewritten.
This is surprising because this was not true of any other exams that I had
prepared for using these tools.
I would appreciate any feedback on the above comments as I am still perplexed
at my experience.
