Just passed it.
Adaptive. Very difficult.
Some of the question I had never seen in my life nor in any test book.
For example:
A DRAWING server as RAS router. NT server as domain client connected with 56K. NT server domain client connected with Null Modem and has a caption "computer to debugged".
(Maybe I am not using the correct words but this is the general idea.)
The RAS server as a lightning symbol between the other domain server and himself.
The question says that this is the results of networking monitor and what is the problem?
WINS failed
DNS failed.
CHCP requested to change something
Wrong DNS address
Never saw this thing in my life.
Which monitoring application gives you drawing?
I chose DCHP and it is wrong because I got the same question, but this time it is showing the report from networking monitor and one of the error was WINS server, so I chose that the WINS fails.
Another question that I didn't know was you are trying to install BDC w/o actual connection to the PDC.
After elimination 2 answers, I was left with:
Have a HOST file on disk and while installing copy it to the NT installation.
Enter the DNS address manually at the TCP setting while installing the BDC.
I have no idea if either of these are possible, but I chose the enter the DNS address at the TCP while installing.
Other questions that I remember:
You wish to configure your server so that it does not provide its
name to the other browser
servers. How?
a. Disable the browser server
b. Set the registry setting MaintainServerList = no
c.Set the registry setting MaintainServerList = Auto
d. other crap - false anyway
ANSWER : (b)
You have parity strip set with client data on it.
Boot and system partition are on another disk that fails.
How do you recover?
1)Change disk install NT and use the ERD disk while installing the NT
2) Change disk, install NT and use recover from a backup tape the registry and client SID
3) Reinstall NT and have all the user reconfigured the same way as before.
4)>>>>
I chose 2 because I don't think there ERD has the SID database UNLESS it was created using the rdisk.exe/s and since they didn't mention that I assume it didn't have it.
You can't recreate the users since even with the same name SID is different.
Good luck
