Subject: MCSE (N.Z.) 6 from 6

6 exams, 6 passes, hardest=NTSE, easiest=NE(maybe cos I didn't know what
to expect, so studied everything)

Well, I guess thats it then. All over. I dedicate my certification to
the late 'Lady Diana, Princess of Wales'.

sat 70-068 (Enterprise) this A.M.
score: 901

quite alot of surprises. maybe cos I thought the exam would be closer to
Tran&^$^%&^. It wasn't really. Its been said before, and I will say it
again, 'make sure you understand WHY the Tra&^%&^%^% answers are
correct'.

I never bothered getting the hang of global guest & global user account
rights accross domains. And paid for it. Probably got about 3 questions
on it. I must have guessed them right maybe.

had the IIS question with 'choose 2 answers'.

heaps of scenarios.

heaps of trusts, (with the MS convention of placing an arrow on the
graphic pointing to the trusted domain)

had about three Network Monitor q's. pretty basic tho'

had plenty of fault tolerance. incl a couple with ambigious answers

make sure you know the partioning & physical disk rules for
boot/system/data & stripe set with parity.

make sure you know that you have to restore from backup if 2 disks in
stripe set w/p go down

had the server optimize question with an Access database. (File Sharing)

had lots (5-6) on adding custom made global backup groups going into
member servers "Back Up Operator" groups.

was surprised at how easy you could guess the Performance Monitor
questions

had a 2 scenario q's where field engineers had workstation 4.0, and
where dialing in with RAS. I think they where trying to trick you into
thinking that 'any authentication' is no good for encryption. BUT,
workstaion & servers dialing in will select the MS encrytion (I guess)?

had one that had a graphic of event viewer, had to select which event
was likely to have caused the rest. I selected the first one which
looked like the NE2000 adapter had failed, thus causing all network
related services to fail.

had a printer pooling q scenario, that scared the shit out of me, so I
marked it, came back, and it wasn't so bad after all.

My thanks to members of this list.

I took NE, 351TCP, 95, IIS, NTS, NTE, in that order. took 5 weeks.
I used TRan&%$%^$# for NE,NTS,NTE.
I used New Ryders for TCP, but dont reccomend it.
I used every braindump I could lay my hands on.
I studied solely for each upcoming exam.
