Passed the Enterprise Exam with a score of 842, the Trusts questions get really confusing after a while, it’s one thing understanding trusts, trusting, trusted, which way the arrow points etc, but after at least a dozen questions on the subject at the beginning and at the end of the exam, my thinking started to doubt itself !. The test itself was 1.75hrs not 2 as has been mentioned on this site. Finished with 30 mins to spare, this is more of a beat the confusion factor rather than know NT inside and out.

Quite a few scenario questions, some with multiple exhibits, I did not find viewing these much help. I did encounter a lot of questions that I haven’t seen posted on this site, Anyway what I can remember is:

Something about display filter to view DHCP traffic, ans = protocol ==DHCP

Slow response on a File & Print server, suspect high disk utilization, which option in performance monitor can you use to confirm this. ans = logical disk

Which tool to use for capacity planning, ans = response probe

One of your sub-nets is experiencing network saturation, how can you confirm this, ans -network monitor.

Which performance monitor option to choose to view multiple CPU statistics, "% total Process Counter" or something.

Required option, Implement Fault tolerance solution to replace current disk duplexing solution. Optional requirements, reduce CPU overhead, reduce read access.

Proposal, implement Strip set with parity.

Does it meet requirement and both optionals, or only one optional, no opptional, does not meet requirement., Will a strip set with parity reduce CPU overhead compared to a duplex set-up ?, I choose no.

MKTG trusts Corp, login to Corp from MKTG, what can user access:

1. Resources in MKTG that MKTG domain users have access to.

2. Resources in Corp that Corp domain users have access to (my answer)

3. Resources in Corp that Corp domain guests group.

4. Resources in Corp that MKTG domain guests have access to.

Couple of questions on backups, multiple domains stuff, required, optional and proposed solutions, the thing they mention on both is assigning "backup and restore file rights". Having just had a quick look at User Damager, I notice that these rights do exist, I was expecting make a member of backup operators group on remote servers, so I guess I got this wrong.

For a slightly different slant on the trust thingy, Two domains, East and West, West trusts East, guest account disabled, when can an account in the West Domain access shared resources in the East domain.

a. When access is given to East Domain Users.

b. When access is given to West Domain Users (my answer).

c. When user is made member of west Domain Admins group.

d. Can’t

Install new SCSI hard drive, NT won’t boot. Don’t have 3 set-up disks but have ERD, choose 2 answers

A, create 3 boot disks from another source,

* B, restore registry from ERD using RDISK

C, boot using ERD

D, boot with set-up disks and restore registry.*

One tw#t of a question on system policies, went something like this, create custom policy for 3 global groups, some users are members of multiple groups, how do you resolve something or other, 

A, create multiple something or other (sorry can’t remember exactly what),

B, use User Manager for Domains to specify which file should be associated with groups.

C, modify policy template to specify priority level

D, modify policy file something about setting the priority level of each global group.

Basically know how Policy File priorities are determined, User Manager or the policy file template.

3 Domains East and West, these both Trusts Corp, how do you configure (set-up) the whole shebang so that users can join the Domain without Administrator intervention.

A, modify the user rights in all 3 domains, so that Corp Domain Users Global Group can add PC.

B, Modify user rights in 3 domains so that users Local group can add PC’s.

C, Modify user rights in corp, so that users Local group can add PC’s to the domain.

D, Modify users rights in Corp so that Domain Users Global Group can add PC’s to the Domain. ( I choose D)

Question on Mary trying to print to a printer that was moved from one domain to another, this included 2 exhibits, can’t recall the rest, also had the RAS questions, one solution stated allowing "clear text authentication" this did not meet the requirement.

And that’s all I can recall, basically my view is that it’s all a load of bollocks. It’s just the same as the clamor for CNE certification 5/8 years back, it’s has not got much to do with judging one’s ability to perform a job, BUT it’s the initial step that the industry now uses to judge one’s ability.
