I'm supposed to be packing to go away for the weekend
but I owe all you on this site first.
I passed NT4 SITE with a 941 this morning, this was the first one
written since finding out about braindumps. Definitely read all of these
posted, not so much for the answers but so you save time not having
to read the questions on the test as much because you will have seen
them already (here).
It's a good idea to check out the questions here and then if you don't
know or are not sure of the answer, implement it at work or wherever
so you can find out for sure, (how the trust works etc.)
If you've done the NT Server 4 test already and you study this site then
you will have no problem, this is not as hard an exam as some would
say, (just quite a lot of reading)
My study materials for this test were "Sybex - NT 4 SITE study guide"
and an excellent test prep by QUE "MCSE TestPrep - NT 4 SITE"
Nothing much can substitute for hands on practice of concepts though.
My actual test looked much like Yancy's Braindump on this site.
**** you can cross reference by answers with Yancy's questions****
I had all the big scenario questions:
All backup group in local group with rights assigned
c. met required but no optionals (cant backup members or workstations)
All backup group in local Backup operators groups and added to each Backup
operators groups on member servers and workstations
a. met all required and optionals
The big printing question with Management, Marketing & Accounting showing
a table with proper priorities assigned etc.
a. met all required and optional results
Caracas - Chicago - Paris - Seattle - Dallas - New York questions
1st setup using Single Domain Model
b. covered everything except for decentralized resource management
2nd setup using Master Domain Model
a. covered all requirements
My thoughts on the 2 Domains West & Corp. Where West trusts Corp.
Someone
logs into Corp Domain from NT workstation in West. What can be accessed?
Everything for Corp/domain users? Everything for Corp/Domain Guests?
Or Everything for West/domain users? Or West Domain Guests?
******Point 1: in my experience if they dont mention anything assume
the default
******settings. Ie. - the guest account is disabled!!!!!
******Point 2: When there is a one-way trust, one domain is the resource
domain
****** and one domain is the account domain.
With that in mind the answer would be,
a. everything the Corp/Domain Users group has access to.
The question where you click on "User & Group Management" to audit
changes
to the directory database, aka SAM.
2 questions with Maria and permissions, this girl always seems to find herself
involved
with a group that has "no access" assigned. Of course "no access" overrides
everything else
Optimizing the PDC running WINS and dealing with logons.
I went with d. optimize for network applications.
But I only got 88% in Monitoring & Optimization and this could be the
bad one.
There doesn't seem to be a full consensus on which gives the best logon
optimization.
Watch out for wording on the Stripe set with parity and just Stripe set
questions.
They are not hard, they just try to trick you between the 2.
2 same scenario questions implementing new fault tolerance.
1st one used stripe set with parity
b. covered required and one optional
2nd one used stripe set
d. didn't meet required result
The brokers with NT notebooks needing remote access, I went with
b. required result and one optional on both.
With Microsoft authentication you still need to check the data encryption
box to get it.
And I'm not sure if what the third party hardware box does but since it was
between the
RAS server and its modem, not between the 2 modems I figured the data was
still sent
unencrypted over the phone lines.
To improve logon response time for users - "add more domain controllers"
You need "NTFS" if you want to keep NetWare file security after a migration.
And also with migration of users from NetWare to NT "use the mapping file"
to avoid duplication and overwriting.
To access resources in a Domain from an NT workstation and you've only got
an account
local to the workstation what do you do? ( Pick 2)
a. enable guest account
b. duplicate user account from workstation to Domain Sales.
A few questions on setting up BDCs and Member servers from a different
Domain.
You can't change a PDC or BDC to a member without reinstallation, or change
the Domain
they belong to.
Member servers can't be made into PDC or BDC without reinstallation, but
can
switch domains without any problems.
NTConfig.pol goes in the "netlogon directory" of the PDC.
To make a profile mandatory just "change the .dat to a .man"
My London - Mexico Scenario with everything in Mexico and only a member
Server
in London was simple.
1st solution they did everything but change the member server
in London to a BDC.
Which did nothing for the slow logons
d. didn't meet the desired results
I didn't get the second scenario to this one.
