Finally an MCSE!! I took the IIS 4.0 exam yesterday (2nd. attempt) and passed with a score of 781. The test is difficult only because there is not any adequate study materials. I highly recommend the latest Transcenders tests and Exam Cram. I am also an MCT and sat this class twice!!
MCSE Heaven was also very helpful. However, make sure you research every question and answer!! Good Luck.
Several trick questions:
1. IIS system is slow. CPU usage is low and bandwith is high.
- Add a NIC.
2. You want to improve performance of virtual folders.
- Spread folders among multiple drive arrays, not single drive array! (Multiple drive arrays are not uncommon)
3. Know the MMC.
4. Understand DNS.
5. Know the ODBC errors!! These were on both of my exams.
6. Another question on how to reduce the amount of threads.
- I never found the right answer for this one.
