Test name: Internet Information Server 4.0
Test #: 70-087
Maybe not a great contribution but at least will settle some of the points in this exam
1) FTP Set to Unix, Directory annotation, ..... and not all clients able to access it.
2) When you administer your Web server with Internet Service Manager (HTML) through a proxy connection, you cannot use Windows NT Challenge/Response (NTLM) authentication. (Excerepted from http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q183/7/30.asp?FR=0 )
3) When INSTALLING HTMLA it assigns itself a port number from 2000 to 9999, through which it connects the Administrative Web site EVERY time, and this port should be enabled in the firewall, RPC connection is nonsense. as the communication between the browser and the Administrative website is through purely through HTTP through this port number.
from http://localhost/iishelp/iis/htm/core/iivsovr.htm#RemoteAdministration (IIS Server Documentation)
4) It is recommended by MS if the Administration (if not over a secured connection, Intranet for example) to connect to the Administration WebSite through SSL.
I recommend studying from IIS Documentation, IIS Self paced training Kit, and Hands-on experience is a must to pass this exam.
