Brain Dump For IIS ( 70-87)

Thanks a lot BrainMasters for this site.

Cleared IIS 4 yesterday. Required score 727. I scored 800. First attempt. And this gives me my MCSE. Without this site, it would have been very difficult to achieve it.

Tips:

1. Sybex book is very sketchy. It does not cover everything.

2. Try to organize the braindump questions as a question bank. You will find people giving different answers to a particular question.

3. The simulations are very easy. But still I missed one. There is a separate MMC for each simulation question. And if you go to review that question, system tells you that your previous answer will be nullified.  So, do each simulation in one go.

4. The time will not be a problem for this exam. So, do not hurry.

5. In the simulation, before closing, make sure that the web site or the FTP site you just worked on, is started. For me, it was started in a few questions and I had to start it in a few questions.

6. Know for sure what kind of permissions are required to run ISAPI apps, for CGI scripts. And know what are the differences in the requirements in running these apps and scripts.

7. And for some reason, the MMC in two simulation question was only showing root and nothing below it. I tried double clicking and other methods. Then I panicked and rushed to the exam supervisor. She called the centre technical expert and he could fix it. Stay cool.

8. This exam I think is the toughest. So, please be prepared before taking it.

9. There was one question in which I thought none of the alternatives was the right answer.

10. Most of the questions are covered in the Dumps. Only you need to be careful about the wording.
